Sarah Tiong

As a chef and author, Sarah pursues flavour and culture with a passion. The spicy, savoury, sour, sweet and textural joys that come from Southeast and South Asian food is what brightens Sarah’s world. She loves to share her knowledge and experiences with others through her two best-selling cookbooks, events, masterclasses and catering.

Before becoming a chef, Sarah was a lawyer for 10 years. She then went on to compete on MasterChef Australia 2017 (with Rashedul) and returning as a Fan Favourite in MasterChef Australia 2020. As one of the show’s most popular contestants, Sarah gained professional experience in several kitchens across Sydney (Firedoor, Amah) and running market stalls. Sarah brings an immense positive energy to the restaurant and loves creative collaboration and experimentation with food.

Pastry, desserts, and anything in the world of sweets is in Rashedul’s wheelhouse. With a passion for all things food, Rashie brings particular creative flair to the dessert and cocktail menu at OGNI.

Before stepping into culinary entrepreneurship, Rashedul held leadership roles in large international corporations managing global high profile and high value programs within his engineering and management expertise over 17+ years.

His culinary journey started on the 2017 season of MasterChef Australia and his success as a contestant led to professional experience in Sydney (KOI Dessert Bar) and internationally. He also has done multiple sell out pop-up events and private catering. He has been featured regularly in the media in Bangladesh and he has written multiple columns over the years.
